The Francophone Summit brought over 550 (1998) and 250 (2000) students studying French from six local area high schools to the CSU San Bernardino campus for a day of French language immersion and cultural activities. Founding Member, French Consortium: The French faculty of the CSU Quarter Campuses (CSU San Bernardino, CSU Bakersfield, CSU Los Angeles, CAL Poly Pomona, and CSU San Luis Obispo) formed a consortium to help offer a French minor or major at all campuses by sharing upper-division online courses. After funding was cut for the Consortium activities, CSU San Bernardino, Pomona and LA have continued to work together. 2000 to present.
